Founder & Managing Director
Credentials: MBA, Cornell University School of Hotel Administration; Certified Sustainable Tourism Professional (GSTC).
Bio: Bagus hails from a family with generations of land stewardship in the Tabanan regency. After a distinguished career managing some of Southeast Asia’s most iconic luxury resorts for brands like Aman and Four Seasons, he returned to his roots to establish Bali Agrotourism. He envisioned a travel company that would not only meet the highest standards of luxury but also serve as a vehicle for preserving the island’s precious Subak system. Bagus combines international hospitality standards with an innate understanding of Balinese culture, ensuring every journey is seamless, sophisticated, and deeply respectful of local traditions.
Dr. Ayu Lestari
Head of Experiences & Cultural Heritage
Credentials: Ph.D. in Anthropology, Universitas Udayana; Certified Guide, Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia (HPI).
Bio: Dr. Lestari is a leading authority on Bali’s Subak irrigation system and the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. She has published several academic papers on the intersection of traditional agriculture and Balinese Hinduism. Before joining our team, she worked as a consultant for UNESCO and the Indonesian Ministry of Culture on heritage preservation projects. Ayu personally designs our cultural immersions, leveraging her extensive network of community leaders, high priests, and master artisans to provide our guests with unparalleled access and insight. Her academic rigor ensures every experience is not just beautiful, but also contextually rich and accurate.
I Gede Dharmawan
Sustainability & Impact Officer
Credentials: M.Sc. in Agroecology, Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands); Permaculture Design Certificate.
Bio: Gede is the architect of our environmental and social responsibility programs. He grew up in a small village near Munduk and has dedicated his career to promoting sustainable farming practices across Indonesia. He has managed field projects for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Indonesia, focusing on watershed protection and organic coffee certification. At Bali Agrotourism, Gede vets all our farm partners, audits their environmental practices, and manages our community fund. Head of Partnerships & Operations
Credentials: B.A. in International Business, Universitas Indonesia; 15+ years in luxury travel operations.
Bio: Citra is the logistical heart of Bali Agrotourism. With over a decade of experience in business development and operations for Indonesia’s top-tier destination management companies, she possesses an unmatched network of contacts. From securing exclusive access to boutique estates in Sidemen to coordinating with private aviation services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Citra ensures every detail of our guests’ journeys is flawlessly executed.
